Open House
Open House is our first opportunity to shine. This is a mandatory work-related event. Teachers should not bring their own students or families to this event.
Who: Parents and teachers
What: Parents come to Mack to meet teachers and learn about the amazing things students and teachers do here.
When: Mid-September (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Family Nights
Who: Parents, students and teachers
What: Parents come to Mack to with their students to interact with teachers. Some times students and parents will learn about new technology available at Mack and other times parents and students will play games in the gym. It’s all about bridging the gap between the community and school. Traditionally, Mack will have an ELA Night, Math Night, Science Night and an Art/PE Night.
When: Several times throughout the school year. (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Concerts
Who: Students in choir, band, orchestra or guitar; families and teachers come to enjoy the music.
What: Performances by our wonderful music classes.
When: Winter Concert in December and Spring Concert in May. (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Who: Parents and Teachers
What: Once a year, parents come to Mack to discuss the overall progress their students are making. Each instructor will be provided with test data from each student he or she is assigned. Each parent will arrive to an assigned classroom where an instructor will review the data and progress the student is making.
When: Sometime in November (7:00 am – 8:00 pm)
Sporting Events
Who: Student athletes. Families, students and teachers cheering the teams.
What: Basketball and soccer games
When: Girl’s Soccer – Fall, Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball – Winter, Boy’s Soccer – Spring (Ranges from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm)
Fall Festival
Who: Parents, students and teachers have a blast.
What: Fundraiser for activities and clubs on campus.
When: In the Fall - Octoberish. (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
