Personnel Folder
Folders are open for inspection by teachers at any time and will be reviewed at the time of evaluation. Folders may not be taken from the administrators' office.
Administration Supervision and Evaluation
Supervision is for the purpose of coaching a teacher and for evaluating a teacher’s performance. Administrators will be in each teacher’s classroom at least monthly, but as often as weekly. After each of these observations, it is expected that the teacher meet with the teacher for a face-to-face debrief and post-observation conference. Teachers can expect written feedback for each of these observations. It is the philosophy of this administration to help coach every staff member to be as effective an educator a possible.
Basis of Evaluation
The district will be using the new NEPF for the basis for evaluation this year. For the 2015-2016 school year only, teachers will receive a satisfactory/unsatisfactory evaluation, without the 1-4 levels. It will NOT include student performance.
Evaluation Schedule
Probationary Teachers
All probationary teachers will be observed a minimum of three times during the year.
Post-Probationary Teachers
Post-probationary licensed employees will have at least one observation and evaluation cycle each year, no later than April 15. Each post-probationary should expect no fewer than one monthly observation with conferences.
