Home Away from Home
Teachers are encouraged to make their room a comfortable environment for themselves and the students. If you choose to paint any part of your room, you do so at your own financial responsibility. Additionally, you must get written approval from your supervising administrator; you will sign that you will either paint the room upon your departure or you will pay a fee in order to have the room painted.
Bulletin Boards and Room Décor
Please post student work on a bi-weekly basis, which will encourage students to be proud of the work they have completed.
Small Electronics
Teachers may bring in a small refrigerator to place in their rooms. However, the district requires a $50 fee for the extra power. Refrigerators must be unplugged during each vacation period. Teachers are discouraged from bringing in storage of foodstuff, as it attracts insects and rodents.
Public Concerns
Teachers have the right to work in an environment free from negativity. If anything in your environment makes you uncomfortable, please notify your supervisor immediately.
